These are a small plastic piece that hooks onto the end of your Starkey SnapFit receiver wire, and loop around into your ear to retain your hearing aids, and stop them from falling out.

Yes. You do not need an audiologist to fit them for you, as the just slide over the end of the receiver wire. You will need to remove your domes before fitting!
You will know when they need changing as the plastic gets brittle and hard over time. Once this begins to happen, it is time to change to a new Sports Lock! There is no set time on this, as it can vary due to lots of different factors. If you live somewhere colder, you will most likely have to change them more often.
